A Successful Workshop as Part of Al-Azhar University Faculty of Medicine Conference

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Seddik, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hussein Abo El-Ghait, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Negm, Head of Orthopedics, and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hassan Mansour, Head of Neurosurgery, the Cadaveric Workshop was successfully held on Wednesday, December 4th, at the Anatomy Department – Faculty of Medicine.

Workshop Details:

• Session 1 (9:00 AM):
  • Thoracotomy and laparotomy (retroperitoneal approach).
  • Focused on the application of these techniques in treating spinal deformities.
• Session 2 (12:00 PM):
  • Hands-on training at the Skill Lab on advanced spinal fixation techniques.

• Cervical Screw Fixation:
  • In normal and deformed vertebrae.
• Dorsal Screw Fixation:
  • In normal and deformed vertebrae.
• Lumbar Screw Fixation:
  • In normal and deformed vertebrae.
